Bannock County Event Center


Swimming in the summer, fishing for trout, volleyball and basketball games, and several sports fields, Bannock County Event Center is a combined events venue and recreation center. Over 80 acres of Pocatello and Chubbuck county including an RV park with 122 campsites and 130 horse stalls, these 80 acres offer a marvelous view of the city and the mountains. Bannock County Events Center is located east of downtown Chubbuck and Bannock County.

Old Town Pocatello

A new Pumpkin Festival is here this October! The Great Pumpkin Festival on Main Street features the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market. Old Town Pocatello is something more than an open-air museum. It is a flourishing commercial area dominated by local small businesses. Come celebrate fall with face painting, apple pie baking and pumpkin carving contest, crafts, jewelry, food, music, and more.


Bannock County Historical Museum


Bannock County Historical Museum is located in a little district, joining Zoo Idaho, a replica of Fort Hall, and Ross Park. It is an outstanding repository for the region, dealing with Bannock and Shoshone archaeology, the arrival of the railroad, the Oregon Trail, fur trapping and trading, and much more. The Bannock County Historical Museum exhibits pioneer artifacts, railroad memorabilia, and Shoshone-Bannock Native American exhibits. Some of the exciting artifacts include an early fire engine, police evidence from the prohibition days, and an authentic stagecoach.

Fort Hall Replica


Fort Hall Replica is situated in Pocatello, ID, and is a replica of the original Fort Hall which was believed to be one of the most imperative trading posts in the Snake River Valley in the 1800s. It is a mesmerizing place to visit for people who are interested in Western history. There is also a top-notch museum next to the Fort Hall Replica that is worth visiting.


Retelling the historic accounts of panhandlers, Oregon Trail travelers, trappers, pioneers, Native Americans, and more, the Fort Hall Replica is like a portal to the past. Idaho Museum of Natural History


The museum for natural history is located near the ISU campus in Pocatello. It was created in 1934 and houses a huge collection of 500,000 specimens, with a focus on anthropology, earth science, and life science.You will learn about the animals and plants of the Snake River Plains, the fossil history and geology of Idaho, and Idaho’s local communities, both present and past. There is a permanent exhibit and two temporary exhibits each year covering various topics.


Stuart Park Splash Pad


In 2017, Chubbuck got its very first splash pad when this well-used and treasured facility opened at Stuart Park. The park is situated next door to the Portneuf District Library. It is the best place for local communities to visit with kids and enjoy summer.Its weaving, arching, and bubbling sprays flying from the ground fascinate both kids and adults. In the summer months, it opens from 10 am to 9 pm. In Chubbuck, local communities also enjoy Stuart Park’s program of movie screenings on hot evenings.

Located north of Chubbuck Shoshone-Bannock Casino & Hotel is one attraction that is impossible to ignore. In 2019, it was upgraded into a complete casino resort that remains open 24/7 with unlimited live entertainment.


The museum displays the history of the Shoshone and Bannock Tribes. You will see weapons, stone tools, textiles, and beadwork along with accounts of the wild 19th century in a big octagonal hall.
